The new façade of this bank-office is made with printed glass and moving perforated steel plates which function as a sunscreen. The glass is printed with leaves and also reflects the image of the trees outside. It’s green, shiny, glimmering, energy saving, always changing and flexible dress presents a new image for the Wüstenrot bank and insurance company. When the sun shines, it changes into violet, sometimes even red. Depending on the viewpoint the perforated steel plates change the transparency of the façade. The new façade also enhances the formerly unobtrusive entrance. Trauner Strobl Bach Architekten won a local competition for the turn-over of the existing building, organized by the bank to celebrate its 80-year anniversary.
