location Leuven
function private house

The rear part of a classified 16th-century house was transformed into an outdoor kitchen and library/guest room, with an outlook on the majestic tower of Sint Geertrui abbey. A simple movement that transforms a dull brick shed into 3 shiny glass tones, reflecting the old house. It was a search into smallness and balancing a building on the transgression from night to day: a totaly shifting image from day to night and back, making it an exercise in light.
