City Library Poperinge

Buro II's design for the new city library and archive of Poperinge, is in essence a massive box with three façades in local materials. The inviting entrance is centrally located under the overhanging volumes. Together with a new bridge over the Poperingevaart, the "Letterbeek" forms a new link with the Viscount Frimoutpark. The building itself has an open and transparent character. It is an attractive stopping place as well as a flexible workplace.
