The museum is build out of big cement pylones which frame a big window-wall. The museum contains native art and is the biggest museum for this direction in western Canada. Most noticeable about this museum is its Great Hall. The windows, reaching forty feet in height, provide a view of the nature and the strait of Georgia behind it. This hall houses enormous totem poles which can be seen in a natural setting thanks to the huge windows.
