The Huanchaca building, best known as 'Curvo', is a territorial building, designed by Chilean architect Ricardo San Martín Pulgar, and built between 1967 and 1970. The building is part of the Gran Via Housing Complex developed in Antofagasta between 1955 and 1978, and occupied the hole left by a former municipal quarry. The results are 278 apartments, six levels and 380 meters long, forming a unique modern architecture inspired by Le Corbusier linear buildings and the urban theory of Hilberseimer, thanks to its articulation of complex topography and creating horizontal and vertical circuits to connect the high and low city, and move along the neighbourhood connected with the desert and ocean landscape.

un hermoso edificio diseñado como mirador, que separa el cerro del mar, actualmente cercado como prisión sin su original leyenda de bronce retirada porque decía edificio privado , que falta de respeto
