Croatian Cota was active both as an architect and as a sculptor. He realized a few buildings in Zagreb and in Split, while especially salient are Zagreb's Botteri and Deutsch villas. Shaped in an extremely plastic way Villa Deutsch is counted among the most impressive edifices of Zagreb's modernity.
