House 2050
The house consists of two blocks – prisms. The lower and smaller prism takes up the level of the street and forms the entrance section of the house. The other, bigger prism comprises residential rooms. Both the basic blocks (prisms) are interconnected with an extended gable wall to form a whole. The extended gable wall denies the actual size of the house. By this wall, the house has been given a three-dimensional appearance that varies when seen from different directions. The size of the house is relative. The view from the street is different than that from the garden. When seen from the street, the house looks very small but when seen from the garden, it seems to be much bigger. The structures of the house are very simple and easy to build.
