Construction of footbridge is a part of administrative and business centre River City Prague. The footbridge brings there communication and architectonic element which becomes a gateway to this new area. It creates distinctive signal which catches visitor's attention by arrival from both sides - Karlín (part of city) and riverbank Rohanské. The footbridge is horizontally and vertically spatially curved arc. That is the reason why it looks very interesting, especially from the Karlín's view. The shape anomaly is even more emphasized by contrast between smooth bottom edge and gradual upper side of the arc which follows the shape of stairway and bridge floor. The entire composition is made of three in color harmony materials. These are - grinding stainless steel of handrail and stair edges, grey-black matt steel structure of the footbridge and sand hue of flooring. (text from architects website)
