Médiathèque Malraux
The Seegmuller company took place in 1892 on the "Bassin d'Austerlitz", in Strasbourg's port. After 2000, the 1932's stores building are ruins. This rationalistic industrial architecture takes life again, in the heart of a new urban masterplan, which connects Strasbourg's center and the south's suburbs. This library Malraux is a rehabilitation and an extension of one of these stores made by Ibos and Vitart, opened in September 2008. Industrial and rationalist architecture is kept with straight facades (135m length) while interior design breaks it with a red strip developed everywhere...
