Humboldt-Box
The Humboldt-Box adds to the importance of the Museum Island in Berlin and enriches Berlin with another attraction. Designed by a trio of architects - Krueger, Schuberth and Vandreike - the Humboldt-Box radiates a futuristic ease amidst the historic buildings in Berlin's centre. Its architecture is to reflect the idea of temporariness. With a stipulated period of eight years, presumably until 2019, it holds a temporary, exciting spot advertising in an innovative way the future Humboldt-Forum Berlin - as well as being an actual trademark for Berlin.
