Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin
The Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin is a one-time project: at Schlossplatz, in the centre of the capital, it offers contemporary fine art - produced in Berlin - a platform for a period of two years. Funded exclusively by private means, it supports Berlin’s significant scene of international, contemporary art as a production site and showcase. The exhibitions, of which guest curators are in charge, are made accessible to a broad, international audience through lively mediation formats. A varied event program of talks, panel discussions, video screenings, and the Montags Bar make Adolf Krischanitz’ building a new cultural meeting place on the banks of the Spree. With its program, the Temporäre Kunsthalle Berlin addresses relevant issues of our time and invites the audience to actively participate in cultural discussions. It maintains a national and international network with culture, politics, and business, and is supported by strong partners (text from project's website).
