Office Grimm 6

The historic buildings along Hamburg’s Fleet - the historic canal in the city centre - are packed tightly together. The office building Grimm 6 at Nikolaifleet, is also influenced from the traditional scale: the building takes it’s narrow and tall proportions, the number of storeys and it’s vertical emphasis, which is expressed in a building set-back reaching into the roofscape, from the proportions of the historical buildings. The conception thereby orients itself in terms of the height to the other structures in the immediate (canal) vicinity.
