Philharmonic Hall Pavilion
The Hamburg Philharmonic Hall Pavilion stands on HafenCity's central plaza, Magellanterrassen, with a direct view of the building site. The Pavilion was designed by Studio Andreas Heller. Here, the citizens of Hamburg and tourists from all over the world will find interesting information and insights into Hamburg Philharmonic Hall, in English as well as German. With its interesting exhibition items, films and information boards, the Pavilion explains the history of the location, the architecture and the use of the building on the one hand and on the other introduces the musical tradition behind Hamburg Philharmonic Hall, the musical experience and the program. The exhibition is open from 9 a.m. through 8 p.m., admission is free.The Pavilion is crowned by the 1:10 model of the Large Auditorium, which conveys a fascinating spatial impression of its unique concept. The model can be inspected as part of guided tours.
