Side is a 5-star hotel in Hamburg located at a very central location, between the Gänsemarkt square and the National Opera, close to the Binnenalster and only a few minutes walk from art and cultural centers as well as shopping precincts. The architect Jan Störmer created a forward-looking facade featuring a combination of glass and nature stone that stretches across all 12 floors. From the top 3 floors, you have a wonderful view across Hamburg. This architecture is complimented by the work of designer Matteo Thun. Just minimalist, reducing everything to the bare essentials, that is the fundamental idea behind the work of Matteo Thun when he decorated the public spaces. The atrium-styled lobby, which stretches up to the 8th floor, lives from the illuminated installations of the New York light choreographer Robert Wilson.
