The new construction of the apartment- and commercial building serves as a intermediary link between the different building eras. The two volumes, shifted to each other, on the one hand broach the issue of the bended course of the street and on the other hand connect the perimeter block and the high rise development from the 50's. The klinker façade refers to Mannheim's building tradition of big apartment blocks. The courtyard façade with its big balconies opens towards the park.
