House at Aravali Retreat
The farmhouse designed for Belgium diplomats required a low scale and a very simple, functional house, it was required to have house in two units with master bedroom, drawing and dinning room and office at one level with swimming pool constituting an integral part of the whole habitable area while lower unit having 3 guest bedroom.An outward house with more emphasis given to the landscaped garden.
The house designed at one extreme corner of the site and at the highest level of the site, each unit forming simple geometric forms interlinked together with an identity of their own with colours. Kitchen roof is inclined with clear storey light and clad from front with teak battens.Circular entrance lobby interconnects rectangular drawing and dinning room at one end and semicircular unit housing master bedroom and an office at other end.One leads to terrace garden through kitchen .giving at emphatic view of the site from the highest level.
