This project is part of a large scale restoration and redevelopment of the old Port of Genova, various existing buildings restored, and new buildings were added as the Aquarium, the harbour Offices, the Bigo tensile structure, and the most recent, the Bolla, a 20 meters diameter crystal sphere, with the largest collection of ferns in the world.

it was last week, on 22nd of august, 2008, we were there with 52 people and guide from Turkey and captain from Italy, i liked it very much in the meaning of the power of steel in architecture with a smiling reflection, genoa was a nice and hot city while we were visiting, and the cables with membrane and elevator and the sphere were sending us cool winds to make us be comfortable :) thanks, renzo piano,
