Spilamberto Cultural Centre
Over time this building has served different purposes, amongst which a fruit warehouse and a graphic laboratory. Its renovation has been conceived so as to conjugate all the demanded functional requirements and to fulfil rigid normative constraints with a new formal identity. The concept has focused on the use of interior space and the identity of the physical space in accordance with the requirements and along with the multiple possibilities of use, by designing an extremely flexible exhibit system. The space that will host the exhibitions, even if it remains unchanged in its form and dimensions, can be variously fit out with a set of modular elements. The architectural choices that guided the global design adjusted to the technical ones, with the aim of reducing the complexity for both the structural and utilities systems.
