Hypo Alpe Adria Bank

The Italian HQ of the Austrian Hypo Bank is placed in Tavagnacco, which is a city located in the north outskirt of Udine. The Bank is easily reachable by the freeway A4, the main connection artery of the region. The project in its whole is a masterplan that includes a public swimmingpool, a hotel and other facilities such as a parking and car circulation. The total area of the masterplan is 26 acres/10.5 hectares. After the masterplan design, Morphosis has finalized the specific designs for the Hypo-AlpeAdria Bank and the public swimmingpool. The bank has been completed in 2007 and it is imposing its massive presence on the surroundings. From several places in the north hills-side of Udine, this building is easily visible, emerging strongly in the landscape. The project has been done in collaboration with GeZa (Gri and Zucchi), an architecture firm based in Udine.
