Ca di Cozzi
The last project of Aldo Rossi, located at the border of the city of Verona. This project has been based on three main elements: the green open space of the hills, the hierarchy among residences and offices, and finally the reference to, not the copying of, Venetian architecture. the two office buildings are reminiscent of the basilica vicentina, a public building par excellence. Palladio also referred to a previous design, but it might be
that he found great architecture in this difficulty. This is where the analogy with the Palladian basilica ends, even though, using the consolidated urban model, the residences are situated around the two office buildings with a minor architecture without rejecting the picturesque. The alternation of the red stone and the biancone is the principal characteristic linking
the monuments and the urban continuation of Verona in a single vision.
