The Dior flagship store building on Ginza has a distinct multi layered, translucent façade. The façade contains two overlapping sheets of aluminium. The outer skin is perforated with thousands of large and small holes which subtly reveal the illuminated inner skin, which is also patterned. In combination, they replicate the woven pattern of Thonet's famous chair that Christian Dior adapted as his signature motif.
