The Almeerse Hockey Club is one of the fastest growing sports clubs in the new town of Almere. Ten years after realizing its first pavilion (now demolished), this building has been realized with a clear vision on future development. The club competes with older 'classical' hockey clubs in the Gooi region. The building is designed to be extended in the future and incorporate a stand when the club reaches first division. Now it is a transparent building, well protected by a steel clad base. The pavilion has three floor levels in before coming to the first floor thus keeping the spectators in contact with the fields and each other. All used materials are free of maintenance so volunteers can concentrate on sports.
