Botania
At the crossing of the Nieuwe Herengracht and the Entrepotdok the Botania apartment complex rises out of the water. The autonomous brick façade refers to the Amsterdam canal houses and the composition of white wooden window frames with green glass is a modern version of the traditional urban block. It has 40 apartments that enclose an inner courtyard. The 1000 m2 of commercial space on the ground floor is at certain places set back, behind the main façade, to create entrances and public space.
