The whole complex houses not just the hotel, but also a restaurant, bar and nightclub. The three star hotel ‘tostay’, the café ‘todrink’ and restaurant ‘todine’ were designed in a modern style, and ‘tonight’, situated in the former chapel, has become one of Amsterdam’s most popular clubs. Hotel Arena is situated in a building that is a city monument with a rich history. Built in 1890 as a Roman-Catholic orphanage with its own chapel. The venue has largely been left in its original state, with the odd designer touch here and there, which creates a distinctive atmosphere in this popular and upmarket hangout.
