Rinnebeek
The location for the Rinnebeek is located in a residential area with mainly flats and terraced houses.
The adjacent primary school and the former Red Cross building (formerly a kindergarten) are the only exception. Both buildings are central to their lot in a diagonal direction. Moreover, the school and the former Red Cross building contrast to the surrounding neighbourhood in size and proportion.
The new building Rinnebeek houses various functions.
On the ground floor a HAT (GPs Under One Roof), the section of the Red Cross with an ambulance garage. On the two floors housing four groups of seven psycho-geriatric nursing home residents. The functions on the ground floor have a public character, while the upper floors are more private. The new building has a central and universal place in the field.
The essence of the design is formed by an outer shell, which summarizes the various building functions together in one gesture.
