Fish Auction

Every morning freshly caught fish is brought to this building to be unpacked, and send to auction in the port of Scheveningen, at the 'Visafslag'. In the 23 halls the fish is handled, and send off for transport. In the large office building at the southern head-end, near the entrance of the harbour, the auction still continues. The canteen, a large bright room next to the auction theatre, is where the fishermen have their morning coffee and sandwiches.

Fish Auction

Opening hours On Fridays at 07:00 AM you can get a tour through the building, and see the fish come in, and witness the auction. Call local tourist office at +31 70 338 58 00 to reserve. Call +31 70-3380 660 for the Fish Auction. The canteen can be rented out for events and local meetings.
How to get there? The auction is easy to reach with tram 11 from Holland Spoor train station. Stop at the Duinstraat and walk another 5 minutes. From station Voorburg or Rijswijk: bus line 23, stop Duinstraat.
