Hof van Ostade

The Hof van Ostade project is located along the Hoefkade, a long and architecturally very diverse street. In this context the choice was made to design a visually strong and autonomous project. The minimalist look of the three building blocks of the Hof va Ostade allows for the project to merge with the existing urban fabric, without overruling the surrounding buildings. In all three building blocks commercial space is located on the Hoefkade, at street level. By creating a setback and colonnade shops have a semi-public space, which bridges the larger urban scale and the smaller scale of shop interiors and central entrances to the apartments above the commercial space.
