GouweZone
GouweZone is a sustainable office complex for the luxury rental sector and part of the 'Gouwe Poort' area located in Gouda. The city wants to transform this area into a desirable office location that will be named one of the top ten Dutch business and office parks. GouweZone is one of the first concrete projects of this restructuring. The complex consists of three building sections sitting atop a common underground parking garage. The office buildings are variations of one another, subtly different from each other in appearance and construction.
The three building sections have flexible layouts and provide room for their own identity and character. New façade technologies, CCA and LED lighting reduce the energy use by about 45 percent and reduce CO2 emissions by as much as 80 percent. Cooling and heating storage and installations for generating solar power and wind power make the building energy neutral. The high quality and comfort leads to a new generation of working environments.
