On the Charles Eyckpark lies a long housingblock of 300 m with luxurious apartments overlooking the River Maas. The Swiss architects Luigi Snozzi and Aurelop Galfetti designed this superstructure, after winning an international competition. By using a strict but carefully chosen repetition of vertical object, a chain or sequence is made that creates a very serene and calm composition on the river bank. The block is opened up at several different places, to connect the park and de street behind. The structure does not have a front or back side; that is why Snozzi decided to give both a different structure and texture in the façade.
thank you. best regards
