FityTwoDegrees Business Innovation Center is an open and inviting multi-functional complex, a meeting and inspiring place for NXP (founded by Philips), partners and third parties. The name has arisen from the geographical position: Nijmegen lies at latitude 52║ north. The green surroundings (grassed over roof) form the support for a bent office tower, a congress centre and a hotel and apartments. Beneath the grass roof are the car park, dispatch centre and a covered Plaza (restaurants, shops and fitness facilities, mostly open to the public). The office spaces and laboratories in the 17storey tower can be flexibly arranged, with a maximum use of each floor due to the location of the two compact cores. The structural mass of the tower is formed by black anodised cladding in which staggered openings play a graphic game with pixels on the facade. At 86 metres the tower is the highest building in Nijmegen and with its bent form makes a gesture of invitation to its visitors and to the city.
