Star Sock Office

The task of this project was to build a functional office building that reflects the identity of the company and its entrepreneur. The challenge was to create, as much as possible, a non-programmed space that can be used for nearly every function in this firm. Moreover, the conscience concerning the impact of everything we are doing here on earth is essentially related to the environment and nature. The concept has been developed as an ongoing space, which offers, by a strong twisting, constricting and then expanding space, a spot for everyone, which is necessary to find his or hers optimum workplace. The functioning of the office building and its interior becomes possible by composing sophisticated techniques which strongly reduce the ecological footprint. Integration with the surroundings was done almost entirely by the application of a sedum roof and a slope covered with beech tree, which wrappes the construction volume. The interior is orientated at a generous, 'green' inner court.
