This office, atelier and working building is not merely a box. It is two boxes; two boxes that are combined through office-space. The office is designed like a cock-pit, viewing over the entrance road and the workspace. It is made out of wood. It encloses an intimate in-between-outside-space. It makes you feed outside and inside at the same time. Because of the semi-transparent membrane the box-building can communicate with its surroundings. It shows its interior and function. The red base enhances the steel frame structure of the box. Behind it is the space where the welding takes place. The light appearance of the façade and the simple, clear structure and organization of functions, the building makes a welcoming difference on the normally very dull environment of the industrial area.
