A dynamic world is created within the walled perimeter of the block through a series of rooms of different shapes and sizes. Behind the entrance gates there are short streets and colourful façades. These little streets lead to a central and more formal interior square. Under two rows of trees there is room for a fountain with a water line like that of the Alhambra. Two small courtyards can be reached from this square which are more closed-in and green in nature. The ornamentation and the use of traditional elements taken from Arab, North African or Andalusia building traditions are given a modern twist. The city side of the wall serves as an architectural intermediary between Dutch and Mediterranean architecture. Characteristic is the brickwork with small windows and white frames in stone.
