Three office villas on Bahialaan in the Brainpark in Rotterdam (also known as V1, V2, V3) are integrated into the landscape as an ensemble in a very special way. Mei was responsible for the design of villa 1 (V1) en villa 2 (V2). The remarkable thing about the design is that parking is not treated as a minor programme element but as an "experience". The building is entered through the parking area (beneath the building) where the representative spaces such as entrance, lobby and canteen are also located. The high-standard interior finishing in the garage makes the space an advertisement for the firm. Urban plan principles dictated that all façades were to be white. Each of the offices has a very distinctive façade: V1 is clad entirely in travertine.
