Malm÷ offers on the upper floors accommodation for 51 small apartments with commercial space at ground level and an underground parking. The design consists of 5 storeys. All the apartments for starters have at least 2 rooms with a total usable area of approx 54 m2. They are accessed through a central corridor. For properties with a limited use area this results in a relatively high use value. At the same time this principle creates two residential climates within the urban environment: living at the busy road, and living in a quiet private area The stacking and skipping of winter gardens and balconies, relative to each other as well as to the fašade, gives the building a sculptural character. Due to limited color and materials (aluminum color black) the facade remains subdued. Moreover, the complex with its mass, shape, size, scale and color gives the square a more urban look, one that given the position in the city it deserves.

We think the projects architectural design deserves a 4 star rating, we give a 3 star rating for the development as a whole: it is a little too big, or, in other words, it implicates that more work needs to be done at the Besterd plein: the building does not quit fit in into the scale of the square as it is today
