UvT main building
More than 10 years Jos. Bedaux worked on his masterpiece, the main building of the University of Tilburg. The university marks the ending of east-west axes of the Town. The building is a rectangular block, with two courtyards, that gives this building a serenity that reminds of a cloister. The exterior has a limestone cladding and exists of sequences of rhythmical windows. The floor plan of the building is a play of wide and narrow corridors that guides the visitor fluently through the building.
