Exposition Pavilion
Next to the Paper Dome by Shigeru Ban stands the pavilion by Dutch artist Stanley Brouwn. It functions and an exposition space and can be used by artists as an atelier. The building exists out of two long white volumes, that lie across each other. This is Brouwns first realized building, is based on his personally developed size-system.; the Brouwn-foot system of measures. It was built during the ‘Pursuit of Happines’ art-manifestation, organized by Beyond Utrecht. Beyond considers the realization of a presentation space for visual arts in the centre of Leidsche Rijn as a suggestion for the future allocation of the area. It will be positioned in the Leidsche Rijn residential area until 2009, then it will be moved to a new and definite place.
