Waldermar Garden

Waldemar Garden is an innovative housing project situated along Akerselva riverside in Oslo. Development of this new housing area started in 1999. One of the primary design intentions was to produce housing that encapsulated the qualities of light and air, an intention that inspired the naming of the project Waldemar Garden. Connections and easy access to landscape and city life are at the forefront of the design philosophy. The apartments are formed with focus on simple forms and clear design. Phase one, Sydkvartalet, comprises 237 apartments of variable sizes, matching the various needs and requirements of its future inhabitants. Occupation started Winter 2005.
