It is not surprising that when the Warka Brewery, being Poland's most famous brewery, needed to expand it chose to invest in exceptional architecture. The first and less successful venture resulted in a conspicuous, retro-style brewing hall. The second undertaking is a dazzling training and conference centre. An existing old willow tree played a key role in the design of the pavilion: it is the centerpiece or, to be more precise, the architecture has been wrapped around it. The building itself, which is 5 meters in height and topped with a flat roof, is quite uniform in its finish. Its plan is simultaneously simple and complex: based on a square, it is warped on one side. Thus, the front façade presents a delicate and fragmented appearance while the brewery-facing elevation is solid. The architects were keen that the building should have an industrial feel, inside and out. The series of metal-coated cylindrical forms inside were inspired by the steel tubs of the neighbouring brewery.
