Atlantic Pavilion
The pavilion is a building which is designed for major events for large audiences. The pavilion's architectural design, as part of Expo98 experience, is a mixture of vanguard techniques with the historical and cultural connotation of the Portuguese Discoveries. With a capacity for 16500 spectators and being a multi-purpose pavilion, an enormous variety of events can take place there.
The project's main consideration's were the comfort and safety of the public, the best functional design for the pavilion in order to be able to mount and dismount each show as fast as possible and the originality of form and materials and of energy management.
