Tourism Office
The Tourism Office by the Porto based architect João Álvaro Rocha is built in the historical centre of the city of Ponte de Lima in the north of Portugal. This city has an intense history since when the Romans first settled in and many historical buildings can be found right next to this new one.
This building is meant to have a completely contemporary approach to the historical site, but still uses yellow granite stone walls like the old buildings. The box-type building is made out of light concrete and it stays almost levitating on the top off the stone walls.
