The municipal library built in Viana do Castelo, by the famous architect Alvaro Siza Vieira is located in the last place of the sequence of 3 buildings projected. Built as as an elevated volume of 43x43m with an empty centre of 20x20m allowing the view over the river. This volume goes from on the floor to east, starting as a L offering nice framed landscapes of the downtown and the garden close to the river.
