The location of the Tetris Apartments is on the edge of the 650 Apartments site, which was designed by the same architects. The apartment block contains social housing and was sold to the Slovenian Housing Fund. The cost per square meter had to be 650 euro/m2 since the selling cost was 1200 euro/m2. The given urban plot for the building was 4 floors high, 58 meters long and 15 in width. Since the orientation of the building is towards a busy highway, the apartments with balconies were shifted 30 degrees towards the quieter and south-orientated side. Long after the elevations were planned, many people associated them with the Tetris computer game, and that is how the building got its name (text from website architect).
