This project forms part of one of the most important recent urban planning operations in Barcelona, the extension of the Diagonal all the way to the sea. This brought about a considerable improvement to the quality of life in an until then marginal neighbourhood and the recovery of a declining industrial area. As compensation, the vertiginous rise in the price of land has turned these promotions into exclusive areas, available to very few buyers and with a dubious wish of integration in the social and urban fabric. The merit of the project is, above all, its capacity to hold a respectable number of high rise housing units and ability to maintain its dynamics. This not only happens because of its strategically placed voids but also because of its exterior closure which dominates the façade and creates constant variation.
