Reception desk Can Ricart
The proposed reform for the reception hall of the Can Ricart Sports Centre is determined by a set of functional requirements that have been demonstrated over the past two years, and by the desire to give more prominence to the reception desk, ameliorating its visibility from the entrance.
To respond to these demands in a complex space as the lobby, where the confluence of several buildings make up the sports centre, we opted for a simple solution. A large circular desk (4 meters in diameter) of a single-section meets the requirements and gives a new image, draws the visitor's attention and resolves effectively the circulation. The choice of the colour was made with special care: the counter and the front (outer side) is a corporative and bold color, while the interior is all in black, creating a vacuum.
