Tower and Plaza Woermann
The Woermann Tower is a rounded, colourful building made of light and transparencies, just like its natural setting. It uses hues of yellow, blue and green Vanceva interlayers to resonate with the beautiful natural surroundings. Its height(60 metres), though definitely modest compared to the big skyscrapers being built all over the world, nonetheless stands out in Las Palmas.
This multipurpose building is divided into two large volumes: a low-lying, horizontal section and an elongated one that rises upwards. Use of glass also turned out to be beneficial for the 'Torre y Plaza Woermann' ability to provide shelter from sunlight(absorbing up to 99% of harmful UV rays), security, resistance and sound insulation.
