35 Madrid Apartments
This is the refurbishment of a famous store building from the 1940s. The last years it had housed big company offices. Good-looking brick façades form a long linear box on street level. 35 housing units form a wooden box inside, which provides any service for house-living inside a wide neutral bigger space. It is a box inside a box. On the top floor, seven units open up with terraces, expanding the interior as an inside-out. The bedrooms get light from above the wood furniture. The living room is a free space from the rest; a clear space to do whatever you like. In summer, you can open the windows so the room seems like an outside space, and is therefore connected with the city. The garage has soft colours for columns and back lower lights for nice lighting from the second you get home.
