This project, winner of in the 1999 design competition organized for the construction of the new Hospital de l'Esperit Sant, is characterized by its rational use of the available plot, functional organization, structuring of circulation and separation of outpatient and inpatient activities. The hospital has a capacity of 240 beds and 390 parking spaces laid out on 5 floors. In order to reduce the impact of its height and scale the building is articulated into three clearly differentiated parts: a three-storey plinth and two separate bodies, at an angle, set parallel to the streets, together accommodating the three basic functions are now central and general services, inpatient care and outpatient activity. Formally the plinth and the east and west buildings are differentiated by the ceramic cladding of their façades, which are ventilated. The triangular area created between the two blocks is a covered public space which gives access to the Hospital.
