Library COAC Tenerife

The new library is an addition to the existing building of the architectural association of Tenerife ( COAC Demarcation of Tenerife) en Santa Cruz de Tenerife. In it´s interior it's using the the existing concrete elements of the 70s building as envelope to create a new welcoming modern space. Wooden shelves along the walls with glass background letting through a glimpse of the concrete structure in combination with plain reading tables are forming a cosy lecture space. The laboratory all in with surfaces displays a contrast to the warm atmosphere in the reading space.
