Relax Park Torrevieja
This project will replace a traditional activity in the Torrevieja Saline Lagoon, namely mud bathing. The project comprises of three snail shell-shaped buildings and the surrounding park area along the lakeside. The first building (the information office and cabins) is almost completed, but at the moment construction has stopped, pending the construction of the other two buildings (open air baths and a restaurant) and the surrounding urbanization. The snail shell-shaped structure is built of steel spirals with a wood substructure connected to these spirals. The shapes are inspired by the aesthetic sense of nature, giving new functions and meanings to the site.
